South Dakota, on our way home

This is a typical camp Walmart spot. This one is Sioux Falls SD.

Wide open spaces can take their toll on travelers and their pets

Visiting after the Fair

We drove from Iowa to Minnesota. Stayed at Mystic Lake Casino, a Dakota Sioux Tribe facility in Prior Lake. This was a very nice RV park, quiet and clean. Of course we made our necessary contribution at the casino.

The dogs thought this was going to be their digs for the night, but another family beat 'em to it. One can rent it out for the night.

Shelby made herself at home on the patio furniture

Janice and Cyndy came over from Wisconsin for a visit. It was so nice to see them and catchup on your lives.
David met us for brunch and a nice visit in Wayzata

Dog Swim

All Dogs Great and Small
We were fortunate to be able to do the dog swim in Altoona, Iowa. It is a fund raiser for Animal Rescue League of Iowa, scheduled for the last day before the pool closes. It's a fabulous pool for dogs where they could just walk right in. Many different varieties of dogs were there.

What a wonderful opportunity for this fellow to leave his wheels and swim!
Shelby really wanted to do this 'boat' slide. She'd climb the stairs in the back but never got the courage to slide down, so we just went up and down the stairs several times.
Life guards could be seen all around. We weren't sure if they were for the dogs or the people.

This is one of the littlest dogs

Griddle stick, turkey sausage in pancake batter served with syrup. One of Judy's faves

Here it is folks, deep fried Oreos with nitro ice cream. Susan's favorite dessert

This is what you don't do after deep fried foods
