Through New Mexico into Arizona

We left Anthony Texas for Arizona on an overcast and windy morning.
We immediately crossed over into New Mexico.

The road runner is the state bird of New Mexico.

Miles and miles ..... of miles and miles!

Definitely purple mountains

The old west

Finally a bend in the road.

We'll be crossing that bridge soon.

Arizona Hoodoos

The Superstition Mountains. Our RV Park is called Superstition Mountain Resort and is located at the base of these mountains.

SMR club house

One of the streets in the resort, all are named for prominent women. Notice the mountains in the background.

Our rented spot, #105. Houdini Johnson made it work with inches to spare. We did ask the parking gurus Ann Blodgett and Lila to assist with our parking.

We had to position the coach precisely to get all three slides out.

A beautiful Arizona sunset by the pool.

More El Paso

Susan was able to visit with her step-father Adolfo. He's still going strong at 91.

Some artwork along the freeway. At night they are lit with green lights. It's very pretty.

The overpasses on the freeway have decorative fencing or painted designs, you can tell you're in the southwest.

The Franklin Mountains, the other end of the Transmountain Road.

This is the exit for Susan's college, UTEP

A sign on Schlotzsky's store.

Next door is Cinnabon.

Three old school chums. Susan has known Blanche, in the middle, since 4th grade. And Leticia since the 7th grade.

We had a great time catching up and remembering the good old days!

Blanche provided an excellent lunch.

Shelby was her usual self checking out all the rooms and trying all the furniture. Here she's trying to sneak upstairs to the bedrooms.

Here she's become a decorative hearth piece.

On the road tomorrow to Arizona!
