To Moncton New Brunswick

Driving in New  Brunswick
Odd feeling driving under this trestle of logs

We're just in time to see the lupine in full bloom. It was everywhere and beautiful!

Another little town on the way to Moncton NB

St. Andrews looks like a quaint town we'd like to visit

The town of St. John. Here is the turn off for Digby. Last time we visited Nova Scotia in 2013
we were just in time for the scallop festival with parade in Digby.

St. John shoreline

Our campsite in Moncton for our 2 night stay

We went shopping and bought local strawberries. Very delicious!
Also got to shop at one of our favorite Canadian stores: Canadian Tire.
They sell tires and so much more. Kind of like a Sears/Costco/Shopko combo.

When did you last purchase fruit in a wooden basket?

After swimming in many lakes and creeks from MN eastward, it was time to wash the dogs.
Oh course they had to dry off on the bed, then we changed the bedding.

Our Moncton camp had a dog run. The girls enjoyed it.

Come on, throw the Frisbee!

Where are your eyes Shelby?

Halifax tomorrow!

To New Brunswick

Just a quick little drive through NY, MA, NH and ME to get to New Brunswick Canada

Driving through New York we can tell the construction season is in full swing

The construction makes for some very skinny driving lanes

Entering Massachusetts, "Make it Yours"

It's a parking lot out here

At least we had an interesting car to look at

Looking for moose in the bog

Entering New Hampshire, "Live Free or Die"

On into Maine, ""The Way Life Should Be"

At camp Pumpkin Patch in Hermon, ME

We saw plenty of these road-side cemeteries. At one time they were probably far from the road.

On the road to Calais ME to cross the border

Approaching the border crossing. We were ask the usual questions about residence, citizenship, why we're entering Canada, how long we plan to stay and where we're going in Canada. They ask our employment and when we said retired, we were ask retired from what? Did we have any firearms, Tasers, bear spray, booze, cigarettes and fruits and vegetables. Our enhanced drivers license worked just fine at the border crossing.

Seneca Falls New York

Visiting Seneca Falls NY

Seneca Falls is believed by some to have been the inspiration for the fictional town of “Bedford Falls”, portrayed in filmmaker Frank Capra’s classic 1946 film It’s a Wonderful life

Following our friends into town

Seneca Falls is the home of the current and proposed new Women's Hall of Fame
In 2013 we visited the current location and thought they had moved into their new
building which is an old woolen knitting mill. Unfortunately part of it is in ruins.

Since the museum hadn't moved, we decided to go see the museum of "It's a Wonderful Life"

The museum shares it's space with
IDEA Center for the Voices of Humanity

Frank Capra spent summers in Seneca Falls and fashioned the Bedford Falls bridge after this one

Another free night at camp Walmart. This one is in Glenmont NY
