I-80 West to Iowa

We're going on a quick road trip through many smaller states to go to the Iowa State Fair.

Rhode Island has several painted murals on their highways.

We found a Cracker Barrel for lunch.

Now we're driving through CT

Overnight camp in Norwalk CT. This was a very small Walmart and they share their parking lot with a Panera and a Petco.

It cost $48.00 to go from one end of the Ohio Turnpike to the other.

Callie enjoying the air conditioning vent and offering advise. She's a great co-pilot.

Heavy East bound travel due to road construction.

We are spending the night at one of the Ohio Turnpike service plazas. They have several fast food vendors in this complex.

The RV overnight camping is self service. Each site has electricity with water and a sewer dumping station within the RV parking complex.

All the spots are pull through so we can leave the car attached.

Camp Cabela's in Hammond, IN has RV parking spaces that one can spend the night at. There is a dump on site but no other services available, except for shopping in the store.

This was at a rest stop in IL.

This is LeClaire IA, the home of Antique Archeology, better know as the American Pickers.
We stopped here 3 years ago and will stop again on our way back east. LeClaire sits on the bank of the Mississippi River.

Spent the night in an RV park in Davenport, IA

We saw the "World's Largest Truck Stop" which was featured on TV.

The corn is higher than when we were through in June.
