After visiting the gardens we went into the Bolz Conservatory, admission $2.00 a person
Trumpet Plant from tropical South America
We didn't see many butterflies but . . . . .
we found out that the chrysalis gave up their butterflies today and the Conservatory was closed for the event.
Bananas
Bromeliad, from Espirito Santo, Brazil
Chenille Plant, from Tropical Asia
Crackus Potacus, specimens found all over America
Butterfly Ginger from Tropical Asia
We never learned the name of this plant, but it's a beauty!
Mistletoe Cactus, from Florida to South America
Pitcher Plant
The walk thru the Conservatory is an upward spiral so you get a different perspective from each side. Here we're above looking down.
Fishtail Palm, from India to South-East Asia
There are only 4 species of birds kept in with the butterflies. They are quarantined until determined to be safe for introduction and supposedly they do not eat the butterflies.
Looks like someone has touched this butterfly, one of this "eyes" is missing.
