Door County is a 70-mile-peninsula with 250 miles of shoreline jutting into Lake Michigan. This postcard shows the major tourist towns. We went to all but Jacksonport and Washington Island.
This is home base for our travels. Camping right next to our friends Laura and Doreen.
The next morning we got up early to go to breakfast at the White Gull Inn, in Fish Creek. It's been there since 1896.
Stuffed French toast with cherries is their specialty
Susan had hash and it was delicious. There was enough food for a second meal.
After breakfast we took a stroll about town and found this interesting and eclectic store.
This shows the viewer a kaleidoscope of color when you rotate the bowl for flowers
Inside is a classic 1932 Indian Motorcycle
Looking down Main Street
All over town were beautiful gardens and sidewalk plantings
