A Rainy Day in Lunenburg

The Lunenburg wharf

This house has a "widows walk" on the roof. This is were women would go to watch for their husband's ship to return from the sea. Often, in olden days, either the ship or the husband didn't return.

This is a Tribute to fishermen.

These columns list fishermen how have been lost at sea.

In recent years there has been less loss of life at sea.

Three years ago this is where we saw the Bluenose II in dry dock. We missed her this year, she was out sailing.

Here is a picture of the Bluenose II, from her website.

This is a war memorial for Norwegians who came to train during WWII

This is a boat launch area where three years ago Callie swam with a real Nova Scotian Duck Toller.

No Duck Toller this year

It's rainy, they're going to get wet, why not let them swim.

This is the far eastern fan club of the Seahawks. Not, it's their high school mascot.
