Dog days of July

I spy with my little eye, on the road from Twin Shores RV resort to Kensington PEI, AGILITY EQUIPMENT ! ! !  The third time we passed this farm we saw people and dogs using the equipment. We immediately turned in and ask about practice. Oh yes, practice is Saturday morning, 9am. Leah Noye of Red Rock Agility was very gracious and invited us to attend their practice. We were told a Wheaten usually attended but was at a dog show this week-end. Oh a dog show, perhaps we could attend.

These are just a few of the practice mates. Met a nice couple from French River (from PA). They split their living time between PEI and PA.

These 2 pics are for Betsy and Suzanne. The female RR with the green collar is the number 1 female in Canada today.

The RRs have Parson Russell friends.

What's this, we see 2 Wheatens coming down the road before we enter the dog show in a ice rink/arena.

This is Sinead from Ireland with a true Irish coat and 15 month old Fiona

Sinead and Fiona with their owners/handlers Terry and Diane Brennan of Inisroe Wheatens.
We had a good visit with these folks and discovered that Diane is best friends with Callie's breeder Trudie in BC.

Judges just don't like Irish coats in North America, so puppy Fiona won.

This was a confirmation and rally dog show.
Here is Spicy and Linda Hallas about to receive a rally placement ribbons. They went on to win their rally title the following day. This is the lady missing from agility practice at Red Rock Agility.

It's always a thrill to see other Wheatens and we enjoyed visiting with their owners.

 What a great 'dog' day!
